Gateshead Schools Dance Festival!
On the 13th March, Years 3/4 and 5/6 took part in the Gateshead Dance Festival at the Sage. All of the girls and boys who took part put so much time and effort into their dances! They did us proud!

Mad Science Club
This term KS2 have a Mad Science after school club. We have been experimenting with different solutions and seeing some weird results! We have some budding scientists here...

Highfield introduces...The Garden Gang!
As part of our ongoing committment to our Healthy School Award, we have introduced a new healthy eating initiative.
"The Garden Gang" (photograph below) encourage our children to choose healthy options for their school dinner or packed lunch.

Cheerleading Festival at Gateshead Leisure Centre
For the last half term, some of the Year 5/6 girls have been attending a Cheerleading club with Miss Treharne and Miss Little.
On November 29th, they performed at Gateshead Leisure Centre along with several other schools from the local area. They practised hard and their performance was fantastic!

Year 3/4 Visit to Pizza Express
On the 22nd November Year 3/4 visited Pizza Express in Newcastle as part of their Creative Curriculum topic 'Pizza'!
We went 'behind the scenes' at the restaurant and saw how pizza is made. We then made our own pizzas using a variety of toppings. They were delicious!
